Our Mission Has Been Recognized By

OWN Work Experience – Business Consultancy: Spring 2026

Prepares young, ambitious future leaders to think, act, and problem-solve like real consultants. Across 4.5 intensive days, students ages 14-18 work directly with real clients, industry professionals, and coaches to examine real business challenges, apply design thinking and strategic analysis, and collaborate with their teams to craft implementable solutions that they will present to a live panel.

Along the way, they build future-ready capabilities: critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and adaptive leadership, empowering them with the adaptable thinking and strategic skill sets essential for tomorrow’s world.

For students ages 10-13, we also offer a 2-day or 4-day transformative camp this Spring, where they engage in discovery-based challenges, build communication and teamwork skills, and gain work experience guided by real industry professionals.

Ideal for students seeking deeper career exposure, extended skill development, networking opportunities, mentorship from industry professionals, and a more immersive consulting experience.

Stories of Impact

“I believe growth happens when young people are given the freedom to explore who they are, connect with others, and be inspired by different paths in life. I wanted to give young people something schools rarely offer, which is the freedom to explore who they are and the courage to shape their destiny with intention.

That’s what OWN Work Experience - Business Consultancy: Spring 2026 is all about: giving young minds the space to design their journey by exploring industries that inspire them and learning directly from professionals. It’s not about telling them what to be, but it’s about giving them the tools, experiences, and networks to discover who they want to become.

Here, growth is joyful, failure is safe, and learning is unforgettable.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What is OWN Work Experience – Business Consultancy program about?
  • It is a 4.5-day real-world learning program in Dubai and Abu Dhabi where students step into the role of young consultants. They work with real clients, analyze real business challenges, learn from industry experts, apply AI and storytelling techniques, and present solutions to a professional panel.
  • This program is designed for students aged 14-18 who are curious, ambitious, and ready to experience what real problem-solving looks like. It is ideal for teens interested in business, innovation, leadership, AI, or simply wanting deeper exposure to real-world thinking and teamwork.
  • No. This is a fast-paced, hands-on consulting experience. Students learn through client briefings, expert-led sessions, AI-driven ideation, team collaboration, and a final pitch.
When and where will the program take place?
  • ABU DHABI: March 16-20, 2026 (Mon-Fri), from 9am to 4pm daily
    Location: TBC

    DUBAI: March 23-27, 2026 (Mon-Fri), from 9am to 4pm daily
    Location: American School of Dubai

You will receive a deck with the Google Maps link and all details after registration.

  • At OWN Academy, we believe age is just a number. If your child is slightly younger or older than the 14-18 range, we are happy to speak with them to understand their readiness and see whether the program is a good fit for them.

  • Just notetaking materials/devices, a water bottle, lunch, and an open mind! Detailed packing list will be shared in the orientation call and email.

  • No, students should bring their own packed lunch for all days. There will be facilities to heat up food on the day.

  • No. Currently all students will be expected to make their own way to the location.

  • You’ll receive a confirmation email and next steps, including a welcome packet and logistics guide.

  • Students leave with more than just memories. They take home a polished consulting proposal, new skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and presentation, and a Certificate of Achievement.

They’ll also be invited to join the OWN Academy Alumni Community, where they can stay connected with new friends, mentors, and future opportunities long after camp.

What will my child learn at the program?
  • Students learn how to break down real problems, ask strategic questions, think critically under pressure, and use AI tools to support research and ideation. They also learn how to structure a compelling proposal, collaborate in consulting-style teams, and deliver a professional presentation to a real client.

  • Career exploration happens naturally through the consulting process. Students receive briefs from real clients, interact with consultants and experts, use tools common in modern workplaces, and practice skills that are essential in business, marketing, technology, and communication fields.

  • Yes. Students join a Problem Statement Cohort that aligns with one of several real client challenges. Each cohort gives them a focused lens for analyzing the issue and developing an actionable solution.

  • To ensure individualized guidance, we maintain a close ratio of coaches to students. Additional mentors and experts join during ideation and presentation days to support teams more closely.

  • Devices are used only for structured parts of the program, such as research, AI exploration, and proposal building. During teamwork and facilitated sessions, devices are kept aside to ensure engagement and collaboration.

Can students attend only part of the program?
  • No. Because we follow a consulting workflow from problem discovery to final presentation, all days are required for the experience to make sense and for teams to function effectively.

Who are the professionals leading the sessions?
  • Sessions are led by industry experts, business professionals, AI specialists, and trained OWN Academy facilitators. Every coach goes through safeguarding training to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Every coach goes through OWN Academy’s training program and child safeguarding procedures to ensure a safe, supportive, high-quality experience for all learners.

  • We follow strict safety protocols, including supervised check-ins, secure onsite and offsite access, and clear emergency communication.

    OWN Academy also implements:

    • Child safeguarding policies
    • Detailed risk assessments
    • Medical evacuation (med-evac) procedures

These measures ensure your child’s safety throughout the program.

My child has ADHD. Can they join?
  • We welcome diverse learners. Please share any important details during registration so we can understand how to support your child effectively.

For some learners, an interview may be required to determine the appropriate level of support needed from our team.

  • Yes. The program is designed for all personality types, whether outgoing, reserved, or anywhere in between.

Through team challenges, guided activities, and supportive coaching, students learn to communicate, collaborate, and step into new experiences at their own pace. Many students finish the program feeling more confident and comfortable expressing themselves, not because they are introverted, but because the environment encourages growth for every person.

  • Ideally, yes, but fluency is not strictly required. As long as students are proficient in English and comfortable communicating ideas, expressing themselves, and participating in group discussions, they’ll thrive at camp.

All activities are conducted in English, so confidence in listening, speaking, and collaboration will help them get the most out of the experience.

  • Yes. This is an advanced, unique program that focuses on real client consulting work and is very different from other camps. Returning students gain a deeper, more professional learning experience.

What matters most at OWN Academy?
  • We focus on who your child is becoming, not just what they can do. Our environment is built on three core values:

    • Meaningful relationships
Our coaches build genuine connections with students and continue guiding them beyond the camp experience.
    • A safe space to experiment
Students are encouraged to explore, try new things, and learn through real experiences without fear of failure.
    A community without judgment
Every child is welcomed as they are. We celebrate individuality, curiosity, and personal growth.
