Holding a Master’s Degree in Education with a specialization in Designing Powerful Learning Environments, she champions experiential, real-world education—transforming industry professionals into educators, equipping students with essential, transferable skills often missing in traditional schooling, and breaking the confines of the four-walled classroom.

Frequently Asked Questions

What age group is the camp designed for?
  • OWN Inspiration Camp is tailored for middle schoolers aged 12 to 14 (rising grades 7 to 9). Exceptions to the age range may be considered on a case-by-case basis, do contact us directly to discuss.
  • OWN Inspiration Camp 2025 is a seven day experience from August 4th (Monday) to 10th (Sunday), including an overnight stay from Saturday to Sunday. The camp will take place in various locations in Hong Kong. The program will be jam packed with learning, and even outdoor adventures.
  • Our camp explores five major themes: Business, STEM, Creatives, Communications and Wellness. The camp’s curriculum is designed to promote skill-building, creativity, teamwork, and confidence. More details are available on each camp’s dedicated page.
  • Please let us know what special needs assistance or support your child needs by emailing us at [email protected] and which program he/she would like to be a part of. At OWN Academy, we will always do our best to find suitable programs for every learner, but must take into consideration the format of each event.
  • OWN Inspiration Camp includes a wide range of activities, including hands-on learning, team-building exercises, field trips, guest speakers, water adventures, and more. The full list of one day experiences will be announced in April.
  • The camp does not offer meals as part of the registration fee. We will ask every child to bring their own meals.
  • Our camps are staffed with experienced coaches, and we maintain a high coach-to-camper ratio to ensure that all campers are well-supervised. We also follow all local health and safety guidelines and have emergency procedures in place.
  • Yes, for the safety of all campers, we require relevant medical information (e.g., allergies, chronic conditions). This can be documented during the registration process or provided before camp starts.
  • No, boarding is not available for the 2025 camp, but we aim to offer a residential option in 2026.

  • The camp is conducted in English, and participants are expected to have a strong command of the language to fully engage in activities and follow instructions. While we aim to have bilingual staff on-site, we cannot guarantee language support for non-proficient speakers.

  • Each student will receive a personalized schedule. Our facilitators will meet students at designated meetup points and escort them to their locations.

  • There will be 16 one-day masterclasses to choose from. Students will rank their top eight preferences, and we will place them in four masterclasses based on availability and minimum enrollment requirements. The full list of masterclasses will be released in March 2025, and selection will take place separately after payment is made.

  • Each cohort requires a minimum of 10 students to run, with a maximum of 20 students per cohort.

  • If a camper is injured or falls ill during camp, we have trained staff available to provide first aid, and we will contact you immediately if further action is needed.

  • Our industry coaches are professionals with experience in their respective fields (STEM, Business, Wellness, Creative, Communications , etc.). They are vetted through background-checks and have a passion for working with youth.

  • Our camp will  include guest instructors, industry professionals, or motivational speakers who provide enrichment and expertise to the camp experience. Details are available on the specific camp pages.

  • A list of required items (e.g., sunscreen, water bottle, specific equipment) will be provided on the camp details page. Be sure to check this before your child’s first day.

  • We recommend comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes for outdoor activities. Please refer to the camp page for any specific attire requirements.

How do I register for a camp?
  • You can register by visiting our website [https://ownacademy.co/summer-camp-2025/] and completing the registration form. After submitting the form, proceed to the payment section. Once your payment is confirmed, you’ll receive online tickets to finalize your registration. You will also regularly be receiving updates from here on out about the details of the event.
  • The registration deadline is at 11:59 PM HKT on June 30, 2025 (Monday)
  • If you need to change or transfer your registration, please contact our support team at [email protected]. We will do our best to accommodate changes, depending on availability.
  • If a camp is fully booked, we encourage you to join the waitlist. If a spot becomes available, you will be notified immediately. Kindly email us at [email protected] with the email subject “Join OWN Inspiration Camp Waitlist”
  • We will announce the 16 selections of one-day masterclass experiences in early March. Once your child’s seat is secured, you will receive an email to select their preferred masterclasses for the camp.
  • Yes, late sign-ups are allowed, but masterclass selections will be subject to availability, and students may not get their top choices.
  • The discount will be automatically applied at checkout.
  • Super Early Bird: $16,800 HKD (Ends on May 7, 2025)
  • Early Bird: $18,800 HKD (From May 8 to June 15, 2025)
  • Regular: $20,800 HKD (From June 16, 2025)
  • Yes we currently only offer super early bird and early bird discounts.
  • We accept payments via credit card. All payments are processed securely through our website.
    • At OWN Academy, we understand that plans can change. To ensure clarity and fairness, we have established the following refund policy for our summer camp:
      Refund Schedule
      • Before May 1, 2025 – 75% refund of the total camp fee.
      • Before June 1, 2025 – 50% refund of the total camp fee.
      • Before July 1, 2025 – 25% refund of the total camp fee.
      • On or after July 1, 2025 – No refunds will be issued.
    • Important Notes
      • All refund requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected].
      • Refunds will be processed within 60 calendar days.
      • Any bank transfer or refund processing fees will be deducted from the refund amount and must be covered by the parent.
      • OWN Academy reserves the right to make exceptions in cases of medical emergencies, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis (documentation required).

Will I receive updates on my child’s progress or activities during camp?
  • No, we will not be providing updates or photos during the camp, as our priority is ensuring that each child remains fully engaged in the experience.
  • Any camp materials, including certificates of completion or special projects, will be distributed at the end of the camp session. You may also receive an email with instructions for accessing digital content.
