Exclusively Designed for High-Potential Students from Leading Schools in Hong Kong

In collaboration with schools shaping the next generation of leaders:

Our Mission Has Been Recognized By

OWN Work Experience – Business Consultancy: Summer 2026

Designed for motivated students ready to stretch themselves, this program immerses students ages 14–18 in the world of real-world business consulting.

Through a focused 6-day core experience or an extended 12-day journey, students work on authentic business challenges alongside industry professionals and mentors. They apply consulting frameworks, design thinking, AI-supported research, and strategic communication to develop solutions, and present their thinking to a live judging panel.

Along the way, students build the confidence, judgment, and strategic mindset required to navigate complexity, collaborate effectively, and communicate ideas with clarity and purpose.

For students ages 10–13, we also offer OWN Inspiration Camp this summer, a 6-day or 12-day transformative program where experiential learning through hands-on challenges, teamwork, and guided experiences builds confidence, communication, and real-world awareness.

What Makes OWN Inspiration Camp Unique?

This is the only summer program in Hong Kong dedicated specifically to Business Consultancy for teenagers, designed for those who want more than surface-level exposure.

Rather than simulations or lectures, students work through a full consulting cycle: from problem discovery to strategic recommendation, and if they continue, into execution and prototyping. Key Differentiators include:

Experiential Learning with Real Business Cases

Work Based on Real Client Problems

A Structured Consulting Journey from Problem Discovery to Strategic Recommendation

Small, Project-Based Teams with Shared Responsibility and Outcomes

Exposure to Strategy, Technology, and AI in Practical Contexts

Guidance from Industry Experts

An Optional Second Phase Focused on Execution and Prototyping

The Consulting Experience at OWN Academy

Choose Your Camp Experience

The Summer 2026 program offers a complete core experience, with a connected extension focused on execution and prototyping, giving students the opportunity to master the mindset and methods of real-world business consulting.

6-Day Core Program : Consulting & Strategy

July 27 – August 1 (Monday to Saturday)

The 6-Day program is a complete, standalone consulting experience.

Students move from problem discovery to strategy development and deliver a Strategic Proposal for a real business context.

Across the 6 days, students will:

• Explore a real client-style problem statement • Conduct contextual research and field-based discovery
• Learn consulting and design thinking frameworks
• Apply strategy, empathy mapping, and ideation techniques
• Refine ideas through feedback and mentorship
• Deliver a final Strategic Proposal Presentation to a judging panel

This option is ideal for students seeking a rigorous, meaningful introduction to real-world consulting — even if they are joining for only one week.

12-Day Extended Program : Execution & Prototyping

July 27 – August 7 (Monday to Friday)

The 12-Day experience builds directly on the first experience and is positioned as an extension, not a separate camp.

After completing the strategy phase, students move into execution — transforming their strategic proposal into a tangible, functional prototype with expert guidance.

The extended experience includes:

• An outdoor adventure & team-building day
• Advanced AI and execution workshops
• Hands-on prototyping and iteration
• Deeper mentor feedback and refinement
• Final prototype presentation and reflection

This option is ideal for students who want to experience the full consulting-to-execution journey and leave with a tangible outcome that reflects their work.

Go Further — Without Repeating Content

• The 6-Day program is complete on its own
• The 12-Day extension deepens the experience, adding execution, prototyping, and advanced skills
• No repeated content — each phase builds meaningfully on the last

Learning Outcomes

By completing the program, students develop:

Students who complete the full 12-day experience gain exposure to the complete consulting lifecycle — from discovery to delivery.

Students join a Problem Statement Cohort, each centered on a real client challenge. These cohorts give students a focused lens to investigate the problem, analyze root causes, and design solutions that make sense in the real world.

Stories of Impact

“I believe growth happens when young people are given the freedom to explore who they are, connect with others, and be inspired by different paths in life. I wanted to give young people something schools rarely offer, which is the freedom to explore who they are and the courage to shape their destiny with intention.

That’s what OWN Inspiration Camp: Summer 2026 is all about: giving young minds the space to design their journey by exploring industries that inspire them and learning directly from professionals. It’s not about telling them what to be, but it’s about giving them the tools, experiences, and networks to discover who they want to become.

Here, growth is joyful, failure is safe, and learning is unforgettable.”

Purpose-built for high-achieving students ready for professional-level challenges, OWN Work Experience – Business Consultancy: Summer 2026 offers a rare opportunity to engage with real-world business challenges and learn directly from industry professionals. The experience combines rigorous skill development with meaningful professional exposure in a highly curated environment.

In just 6 or 12 days, students will dive into a world of career possibilities, develop practical skills, and form lasting peer and professional connections, emerging with clarity and confidence that extend well beyond the camp experience.

What is OWN Work Experience – Business Consultancy program about?
  • It’s a real-world business consultancy experience where students step into the role of young consultants.

Students work through authentic problem statements, learn how professionals frame and test ideas, apply structured thinking, and present their solutions in a professional setting. The program emphasizes judgment, clarity of thinking, and communication under real-world expectations.

The experience is offered in two formats:

    • a 6-day program
    • a 12-day extended program for deeper immersion
  • This program is designed for students aged 14-18 who are curious, ambitious, and ready to experience what real problem-solving looks like. It is ideal for teens interested in business, innovation, leadership, AI, or simply wanting deeper exposure to real-world thinking and teamwork.
  • No. This is a fast-paced, hands-on consulting experience. Students learn through client briefings, expert-led sessions, AI-driven ideation, team collaboration, and a final pitch.
When and where will the program take place?
  • 6-Day Program: July 27 – August 1, 2026 (Mon–Sat)

    Extended 12-Day Program: July 27 – August 7, 2026 (Mon–Fri)

Location: Hong Kong Academy and selected off-site field locations

    Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily

You will receive a deck with the Google Maps link and all details after registration.

  • At OWN Academy, we believe age is just a number. If your child is slightly younger or older than the 14-18 range, we are happy to speak with them to understand their readiness and see whether the program is a good fit for them.

  • Just notetaking materials/devices, a water bottle, lunch, and an open mind! Detailed packing list will be shared in the orientation call and email.

  • Meal arrangements are still being finalized. Families will receive clear confirmation and guidance once details are confirmed.

  • Transportation will be provided for all official field trips and off-site program activities as part of the OWN Work Experience – Business Consultancy program.

Transportation arrangements for daily arrival and dismissal (bus pick-up and drop-off) are still being finalized. Once confirmed, full details will be shared with registered families ahead of the program.

All transportation during program activities will be supervised by OWN Academy staff to ensure student safety and smooth coordination.

  • You’ll receive a confirmation email and next steps, including a welcome packet and logistics guide.

  • Students leave with more than just memories. They take home a polished consulting proposal, new skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and presentation, and a Certificate of Achievement.

They’ll also be invited to join the OWN Academy Alumni Community, where they can stay connected with new friends, mentors, and future opportunities long after camp.

What will my child learn at the program?
  • Students learn how to break down real problems, ask strategic questions, think critically under pressure, and use AI tools to support research and ideation. They also learn how to structure a compelling proposal, collaborate in consulting-style teams, and deliver a professional presentation to a real client.

  • Career exploration happens naturally through the consulting process. Students receive briefs from real clients, interact with consultants and experts, use tools common in modern workplaces, and practice skills that are essential in business, marketing, technology, and communication fields.

  • Yes. Students join a Problem Statement Cohort that aligns with one of several real client challenges. Each cohort gives them a focused lens for analyzing the issue and developing an actionable solution.

  • To ensure individualized guidance, we maintain a close ratio of coaches to students. Additional mentors and experts join during ideation and presentation days to support teams more closely.

  • Devices are used only for structured parts of the program, such as research, AI exploration, and proposal building. During teamwork and facilitated sessions, devices are kept aside to ensure engagement and collaboration.

Why are field trips included in the Summer program?
  • Field trips are a key part of the Summer Work Experience. They allow students to experience business and social challenges in real-world contexts, observe how organizations operate, and gather insights that inform their consulting proposals. These visits help bridge theory and practice in a way that classroom-based learning alone cannot.

  • Field trips may include visits related to business operations, social impact initiatives, sustainability efforts, or industry-relevant environments connected to the client problem statements. Specific sites are selected to support the learning objectives of each cohort.

  • Yes. All field trips are fully supervised by OWN Academy staff and facilitators. Clear group structures, safety protocols, and check-in procedures are followed at all times.

  • Because field trips are an integral part of the learning experience, students are expected to attend all scheduled off-site activities. If there are special circumstances, families should contact the team in advance to discuss possible arrangements.

What if a student misses an off-site activity?
  • Because off-site learning is integral to the program, students are expected to attend all activities. Families should contact the team in advance if special circumstances arise.

  • No. Each program follows a complete consulting workflow. Full attendance is required to ensure learning continuity and strong team outcomes.

  • 6-Day Program:
Students complete one full consulting cycle, from problem discovery to final presentation.

    12-Day Program:
Students complete two consecutive consulting cycles, allowing for deeper thinking, increased responsibility, and more advanced refinement of skills.

The 12-day option is ideal for students seeking deeper immersion or returning students ready for greater challenge.

Who are the professionals leading the sessions?
  • Sessions are led by industry experts, business professionals, AI specialists, and trained OWN Academy facilitators. Every coach goes through safeguarding training to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Every coach goes through OWN Academy’s training program and child safeguarding procedures to ensure a safe, supportive, high-quality experience for all learners.

  • We follow strict safety protocols, including supervised check-ins, secure onsite and offsite access, and clear emergency communication.

    OWN Academy also implements:

    • Child safeguarding policies
    • Detailed risk assessments
    • Medical evacuation (med-evac) procedures

These measures ensure your child’s safety throughout the program.

  • Parents will be asked to provide relevant medical information, including allergies or special needs, before camp begins.

My child has ADHD. Can they join?
  • We welcome diverse learners. Please share any important details during registration so we can understand how to support your child effectively.

For some learners, an interview may be required to determine the appropriate level of support needed from our team.

  • Yes. The program is designed for all personality types, whether outgoing, reserved, or anywhere in between.

Through team challenges, guided activities, and supportive coaching, students learn to communicate, collaborate, and step into new experiences at their own pace. Many students finish the program feeling more confident and comfortable expressing themselves, not because they are introverted, but because the environment encourages growth for every person.

  • Ideally, yes, but fluency is not strictly required. As long as students are proficient in English and comfortable communicating ideas, expressing themselves, and participating in group discussions, they’ll thrive at camp.

All activities are conducted in English, so confidence in listening, speaking, and collaboration will help them get the most out of the experience.

  • Yes. This is an advanced, unique program that focuses on real client consulting work and is very different from other camps. Returning students gain a deeper, more professional learning experience.

Families registering two or more children are eligible for a 10% group discount.

How do I apply?
  • Families register and secure a spot by paying first. After that, students go through a short application process so we can make sure the camp is the right fit for them.
  • The application includes a simple form and a few questions about the student’s interests, learning style, and motivation for joining.
  • Once accepted, families will receive detailed next steps and guidance to prepare for an unforgettable week.
  • Yes. Participants receive a Certificate of Achievement, which is great for portfolios or school records.
What matters most at OWN Academy?

Students are encouraged to explore, try new things, and learn through real experiences without fear of failure.
  • A community without judgment
Every child is welcomed as they are. We celebrate individuality, curiosity, and personal growth.
  • Students engage in team collaboration, expert-led sessions, problem-solving challenges, guided reflections, and a final presentation that helps them build confidence and pride in their work.
