Stories of Impact

“I believe growth happens when young people are given the freedom to explore who they are, connect with others, and be inspired by different paths in life. I wanted to give young people something schools rarely offer, which is the freedom to explore who they are and the courage to shape their destiny with intention.

That’s what OWN Inspiration Camp: Spring 2026 is all about: giving middle schoolers the space to design their journey by exploring industries that inspire them and learning directly from professionals. It’s not about telling them what to be, but it’s about giving them the tools, experiences, and networks to discover who they want to become.

Here, growth is joyful, failure is safe, and learning is unforgettable.”

What is OWN Inspiration Camp?
  • OWN Inspiration Camp is a premium, real-world learning experience designed to help young people discover their interests, grow their confidence, and explore future pathways through hands-on masterclasses and meaningful mentorship.
  • OWN Inspiration Camp: Spring 2026 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi is designed for middle schoolers aged 10-13 who are curious, eager to meet new people, and ready to build real-world confidence. It’s perfect for students  who want a premium camp experience that blends early career exploration, transferable skill-building, and mentorship from real professionals.
  • Not at all. Spring Camp is designed to feel like an immersive career adventure. Students learn through masterclasses, challenges, and projects no lectures, just interactive and engaging experiences.
When and where will the program take place?
  • ABU DHABI: March 16-19, 2026 (Mon-Thu), from 9am to 4pm daily
    Location: TBC

    DUBAI: March 23-26, 2026 (Mon-Thu), from 9am to 4pm daily
    Location: American School of Dubai

You will receive a deck with the Google Maps link and all details after registration.
  • At OWN Academy, we believe age is just a number. If your child is slightly younger or older than the 10-13 range, we are happy to speak with them to understand their readiness and see whether the program is a good fit for them.

  • Just notetaking materials, a water bottle, lunch, and an open mind! Detailed packing list will be shared in the orientation call and email.

  • No, students should bring their own packed lunch for all days. There will be facilities to heat up food on the day.

  • No. Currently all students will be expected to make their own way to the location.

If a field trip or offsite activity is included in the program, transportation will be fully arranged and supervised by OWN Academy.

  • You’ll receive a confirmation email and next steps, including a welcome packet and logistics guide.

  • Students leave with more than just memories. They take home a personalized record of their masterclass projects, reflections, and key learnings that they can revisit and build on.

They’ll also be invited to join the OIC Alumni Community, where they can stay connected with new friends, mentors, and future opportunities long after camp.

What will my child learn at the program?
  • Students will gain early exposure to real work environments and develop transferable skills such as communication, teamwork, initiative, and problem solving.
They also learn how to connect what they learn in the classroom with real-world applications, helping them understand how skills and subjects translate into actual careers and industries.

  • Students don’t just listen, they experience. They step into the context of real jobs and industries through hands-on workshops, guided challenges, and industry-inspired tasks led by professionals.

Through these activities, they develop transferable skills in authentic, real-world environments, giving them a strong foundation no matter what path they choose.

  • Instead of choosing industries, students participate in three core workshops during the masterclass days. These workshops are designed to be universally beneficial, regardless of a student’s future interest:

    • Business Consulting: Problem solving
    • Data & AI: AI and digital literacy
    • Marketing: Storytelling and communication

These masterclasses equip students with essential skills that will serve them in any career path.

  • To ensure each student receives personal attention, we try to keep a close 1:10 coach-to-student ratio to ensure personal attention.

  • Devices such as iPads or phones are generally not used during camp. We want students to focus on real-world interactions, teamwork, and communication. However, for certain structured activities (like research or specific project tasks), students may use their devices under high supervision and clear guidelines. Outside of these moments, all devices are kept away to ensure they are fully engaged, present, and distraction-free.

Can we sign up only for the 2-Day camp?
  • Yes. The scavenger race is part of the two day program offered on Monday and Tuesday (March 13-14 for Abu Dhabi; March 23-24 for Dubai). Families may choose this shorter program if they prefer a condensed experience.

  • No. The masterclasses cannot be taken separately. They are part of the full 4-day program and must be experienced together with the scavenger race and the reflection sessions

  • The 2-day camp offers a fast-paced, immersive experience that blends self-discovery with a high-energy Scavenger Race. Students take on missions inspired by real job functions, allowing them to practice teamwork, initiative, problem solving, and communication in real-world environments. Throughout the experience, they also begin to identify their strengths and see how these connect to different job roles, while engaging in company and business explorations woven naturally into the challenges.

  • The 4-day camp includes everything in the two-day program, then extends the learning through two additional masterclass days in business, marketing, and tech. Students go deeper into understanding how industries operate, how various job functions fit together, and how their strengths align with real-world pathways. The experience concludes with guided reflection sessions that help students integrate their insights and connect their learning to future possibilities.

  • No. All participants of the four day camp take part in the scavenger race because it sets the foundation for the learning that happens in the masterclasses.

Who are the professionals leading the sessions?
  • Our facilitators are trusted industry experts, practitioners, and mentors who bring meaningful real-world experience to students.

Every coach goes through OWN Academy’s training program and child safeguarding procedures to ensure a safe, supportive, high-quality experience for all learners.

  • We follow strict safety protocols, including supervised check-ins, secure onsite and offsite access, and clear emergency communication.

    OWN Academy also implements:

    • Child safeguarding policies
    • Detailed risk assessments
    • Medical evacuation (med-evac) procedures

These measures ensure your child’s safety throughout the program.

My child has ADHD. Can they join?
  • We welcome diverse learners. Please share any important details during registration so we can understand how to support your child effectively.

For some learners, an interview may be required to determine the appropriate level of support needed from our team.

  • Yes. The camp is designed for all personality types, whether outgoing, reserved, or anywhere in between.

Through team challenges, guided activities, and supportive coaching, students learn to communicate, collaborate, and step into new experiences at their own pace. Many students finish the camp feeling more confident and comfortable expressing themselves, not because they are introverted, but because the environment encourages growth for every child.

  • Ideally, yes, but fluency is not strictly required. As long as students are proficient in English and comfortable communicating ideas, expressing themselves, and participating in group discussions, they’ll thrive at camp.

All activities are conducted in English, so confidence in listening, speaking, and collaboration will help them get the most out of the experience.

  • Yes! Spring Camp is designed as a powerful progression, not a repeat. While Summer focused on broad career exploration and Winter honed future-ready skills, Spring combines both: students not only explore industries but also apply transferable skills through masterclasses, real-world projects, and a mall-wide challenge. It’s the next step in the OIC journey, giving returning students fresh challenges and deeper experiences while welcoming first-timers into the same world-class program.

What goes into the cost of the program?
  • The program is priced at a premium level to reflect the quality of our coaching, customized curriculum, small-group environment, and professionally led experiences.

  • Families are investing in high-touch mentorship, real industry access, expert facilitators, small-group learning, and a thoughtfully designed curriculum that creates meaningful transformation for young learners.
  • Yes. Discounts may include:

    • 10% off for families registering two or more children
    • Periodic early registration offers (details available on the registration pag
  • We offer two flexible ways for families to secure their child’s spot in the program:

    1.Full Payment (Upfront)
Families can choose to pay the full program fee at the time of registration.
    Benefit:

    • Enjoy a 5% discount when full payment is made before February 28.

    2. Two-Part Payment Plan
Families may also secure a spot with an initial payment, followed by a remaining balance due at a later date.

    Key Details:

    • The first payment is required by January 31 to activate the installment plan.
    • The final balance is due by February 28.

This option is ideal for families who prefer to spread out the cost while still ensuring a confirmed spot in the camp.

  • Absolutely. Many families enroll siblings or friends so they can share the experience together. Each student follows the same program structure but will have their own personal learning moments and contributions within the group.

Families registering two or more children are eligible for a 10% group discount.

How do I apply?
  • Families register and secure a spot by paying first. After that, students go through a short application process so we can make sure the camp is the right fit for them.
  • The application includes a simple form and a few questions about the student’s interests, learning style, and motivation for joining.
  • Once accepted, families will receive detailed next steps and guidance to prepare for an unforgettable week.
  • Yes. Participants receive a Certificate of Achievement, which is great for portfolios or school records.
What matters most at OWN Academy?
    • Meaningful relationships
Our coaches build genuine connections with students and continue guiding them beyond the camp experience.
    • A safe space to experiment
Students are encouraged to explore, try new things, and learn through real experiences without fear of failure.
    • A community without judgment
Every child is welcomed as they are. We celebrate individuality, curiosity, and personal growth.
  • Through collaborative activities, supportive coaching, and hands-on challenges designed to help students express themselves confidently and grow in a positive, inclusive environment.

What is your refund policy?
