Stories of Impact

"I believe growth happens when young people are given the freedom to explore who they are, connect with others, and be inspired by different paths in life. I wanted to give young people something schools rarely offer - the freedom to explore who they are and the courage to shape their destiny with intention.

That's what OWN Inspiration Camp: Winter 2025 is all about — -giving middle schoolers the space to design their journey by choosing industries that inspire them and learning directly from professionals. It's not about telling them what to be, but it's about giving them the tools, experiences, and networks to discover who they want to become.

Here, growth is joyful, failure is safe, and learning is unforgettable."

Who is this program for?
  • OWN Inspiration Camp: Winter 2025 in Dubai is designed for middle schoolers aged 10–13 who are curious, eager to meet new people, and ready to build real-world confidence. It’s perfect for students  who want a premium camp experience that blends career exploration, transferable skill-building, and mentorship from real professionals.
  • Ideally, yes, but fluency is not strictly required. As long as students are proficient in English and comfortable communicating ideas, expressing themselves, and participating in group discussions, they’ll thrive at camp.
  • All activities are conducted in English, so confidence in listening, speaking, and collaboration will help them get the most out of the experience.
  • Families register and secure a spot by paying first. After that, students go through a short application process so we can make sure the camp is the right fit for them.
  • The application includes a simple form and a few questions about the student’s interests, learning style, and motivation for joining. We’ll also get a sense of their English proficiency during this process, since the camp is conducted entirely in English.
  • If a student is found not eligible after applying, families will receive a full refund.
  • Once accepted, families will receive detailed next steps and guidance to prepare for an unforgettable week.
  • This year’s Winter Camp runs across five full days (Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM).
Day 1: Orientation, team games, and skills prep.
Days 2-4: Industry Masterclasses — students choose 3 industries to explore, one per day, guided by professionals.
Day 5: Shopping Mall Scavenger Hunt + Graduation Celebration.
  • Students don’t just listen, they experience. Through masterclasses led by real professionals, they step into industries like fashion design, architecture, or robotics, trying out projects and solving challenges.
  • They also develop transferable skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving that will serve them no matter what path they choose.
  • To ensure each student receives personal attention, we try to keep a close 1:10 coach-to-student ratio to ensure personal attention.
  • Just notetaking materials, a water bottle, lunch, and an open mind! Detailed packing list will be shared in the orientation call and email.
  • Devices such as iPads or phones are generally not used during camp. We want students to focus on real-world interactions, teamwork, and communication. However, for certain structured activities (like research or specific project tasks), students may use their devices under high supervision and clear guidelines. Outside of these moments, all devices are kept away to ensure campers are fully engaged, present, and distraction-free.
  • Not at all. Winter Camp is designed to feel like an immersive career adventure. Students learn through masterclasses, challenges, and projects, no lectures, just interactive and engaging experiences.
  • Yes! That’s the core of this program. From Architecture to AI, Finance to Law, students handpick 3 industries they’re most excited about. This choice gives them a rare early-stage opportunity to explore careers, test their interests, and gain clarity about their passions.
  • We follow strict safety protocols, including supervised check-ins, secure onsite and offsite access, and emergency contacts will be provided.
  • Absolutely. Many families choose to enroll siblings or close friends, giving them the rare opportunity to share a once-in-a-lifetime experience while also pursuing their own unique interests. Each child will handpick their industries and projects, ensuring their journey is personalized, yet they’ll still enjoy the joy of discovering, collaborating, and celebrating side by side. With limited spots available, we encourage early registration to secure their place.
  • No. Currently all students will be expected to make their own way to the ASD campus.
  • You’ll receive a confirmation email and next steps, including a welcome packet and logistics guide.
  • Yes. Participants receive a Certificate of Achievement, which is great for portfolios or school records.
  • Absolutely! That’s exactly who the camp is for. Through games, roleplay, and mentor meetups, students practice connecting in a safe, supportive environment. By the end, even the shyest kids often surprise themselves with how confidently they can speak up and collaborate.
  • Yes! Winter Camp is designed as a powerful progression, not a repeat. While Summer focused on broad career exploration and Fall honed future-ready skills, Winter combines both: students not only explore industries but also apply transferable skills through masterclasses, real-world projects, and a mall-wide challenge. It’s the next step in the OIC journey, giving returning students fresh challenges and deeper experiences while welcoming first-timers into the same world-class program.

  • No, students should bring their own packed lunch for all days. There will be facilities to heat up food on the day.
  • Students leave with more than just memories. They take home a personalized record of their masterclass projects, reflections, and key learnings that they can revisit and build on.
  • They’ll also be invited to join the OIC Alumni Community, where they can stay connected with new friends, mentors, and future opportunities long after camp.
