Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this program for?
  • OWN Inspiration Camp is designed for students aged 10–13  who are curious, creative, and excited to explore real-world challenges. It’s perfect for turning the October break into productive playtime, where learning goes beyond the classroom and becomes an adventure filled with discovery, teamwork, and fun.
  • Ideally, yes, but fluency is not strictly required. As long as students are proficient in English and comfortable communicating ideas, expressing themselves, and participating in group discussions, they’ll thrive at camp.
  • All activities are conducted in English, so confidence in listening, speaking, and collaboration will help them get the most out of the experience.
  • Families register and secure a spot by paying first. After that, students go through a short application process so we can make sure the camp is the right fit for them.
  • The application includes a simple form and a few questions about the student’s interests, learning style, and motivation for joining. We’ll also get a sense of their English proficiency during this process, since the camp is conducted entirely in English.
  • If a student is found not eligible after applying, families will receive a full refund.
  • Once accepted, families will receive detailed next steps and guidance to prepare for an unforgettable week.
  • Camp is designed as a voyage of discovery. Each day builds on the next, guiding students through new challenges, skill-building, and teamwork.
  • While workshops include interactive activities, group collaboration, and real tools, the experience is framed as a journey: students are the captains of their own ship.
  • We provide the maps, tools, and guidance, but the goal is for them to build their own personal ship and set sail toward their future.
  • To ensure each student receives personal attention, we keep a close 1:8 coach-to-student ratio to ensure personal attention.
  • The program runs in two cohorts:
    • AM Session: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
    • PM Session: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
  • During workshop days (Day 2–4), students attend for a half-day depending on their session. On Day 1 (Orientation) and Day 5 (Showcase & Closing), the program runs for a full day.
  • Just notetaking devices (ipad or laptop), a water bottle, lunch, and an open mind!
  • Not at all. This isn’t traditional schooling, but it’s a skill-building workshop designed to help students navigate what “work” means in 2025 and beyond.
  • Through structured yet playful activities and collaborative experiences, they’ll build friendships, clarify their strengths, and discover skills that prepare them for future opportunities.
  • We follow strict safety protocols, including supervised check-ins, secure campus / offsite access, and emergency contacts will be provided.
  • Yes, you can register siblings or friends. However, spots per cohort are limited, so we recommend early sign-up to ensure placement.
  • Optional transportation assistance is available for an additional cost. Otherwise,  drop-off zones will be clearly communicated before the program dates.
  • You’ll receive a confirmation email and next steps, including a welcome packet and logistics guide.
  • Yes. Participants receive a Certificate of Achievement, which is great for portfolios or school records.
  • Absolutely! The program is designed to build confidence in all personality types. Group sizes are small, and facilitators are trained to support every learner.
  • No, lunch is not provided. For full-day activities on Monday and Friday, students should bring their own lunch.
  • From Tuesday to Thursday, the program runs in half-day sessions (morning or afternoon), so students can have their meals before or after camp.
  • Students stay connected through our Alumni Group Chat, where they can continue building friendships, share updates, and access exclusive opportunities. Every student also leaves with a Personalized Skills Tree, a keepsake of the skills and strengths they discovered in the camp.
