Let the games begin!

Introducing the Real World Challenge (RWC), a race against time to solve the toughest business problems from Gobi Partners, DETERMINANT, and KPMG China.

You and a team of four people max will be given a major case study that you need to solve on the metaverse. You will need to put your heads together to develop out-of-the-box solutions that are viable, not just on paper, but in the real world. But don’t get too comfortable. There may be surprise challenges and bonus questions that could propel your team ahead of the competition or leave you behind!

A peek inside RWC

With the metaverse as your arena, you can explore, collaborate, and compete with others real-time. Check out the competition during breaks and tell the audience who is the team to watch for.

By the end of the game, you won’t just have enhanced your skills with design sprint training, but also made new friends and connections!

To join, form a team of 4 talented friends max or sign up as an individual and be matched with others. Get ready to battle it out in this one-of-a-kind competition! Applications are on a first-come, first-served basis, cutoff is on July 11, 2022.

With Gobi Partners (July 13), you can solve an investment case study and win a mentorship with the most interconnected Pan-Asian venture capital firm in the world! Test your marketing mettle with Hong Kong-based fashion brand DETERMINANT (July 20) and one of the most famous football clubs in the world and win awesome prizes. Impress KPMG China (July 26 – 28) by solving three different case studies on Tax, Audit, and Advisory and win a seat at a final internship interview at one of the Big Four.

Tim leads LinkedIn's Large Enterprise Sales team in Southeast Asia, with nearly two decades of experience in the talent industry across APAC. Originally from Tasmania he has worked in different regions including Hong Kong and now Singapore. Tim represents Linkedln at conferences typically aimed at the C-suite level. He is passionate about workforce transformation, Al, in-deman skills, and building professional brands that connect people to opportunities.

Billy Tam

Billy Tam is an architect turned entrepreneur with over 11 years of experience in 5 idea-to-exit startups in fitness, retail, and food and beverage. With 9 years of experience as a program facilitator, he was one of the pioneer entrepreneurship industry coaches at OWN Academy prior to joining the company. As the Director of Operations, he is responsible for overseeing all programs, facilitator recruitment and curriculum development at OWN Academy.
