The world is spending more time than ever reading, watching and listening to content online. Whether it’s through Youtube, Snapchat, Facebook or Instagram, it’s hard to deny that content consumption has become an integral part of our daily lives.

But why only watch, when you can also create?  Each of us are full of creativity, imagination and talent waiting to be unleashed. Technology gives us access to so many tools that can help us to bring those visions to life, our imagination into reality, and express our talents to the world.

That’s why we have OWN Media, Asia’s first online media channel produced by students for students.  OWN Media serves as a unique platform for students to have the freedom to uncover their passions and interests, learn to create meaningful content, and share their productions with other students and the world at large. We’re inviting all students to become their OWN star by joining OWN Media’s Production Team.

Students run the show at OWN Media–each of them play a critical role in bringing content to life. They’re involved in every aspect of the content production process, from research to story creation, filmmaking and post-production, and copywriting to strategy, all within a environment that values individuality and teamwork.

We approach teaching as coaches instead of teachers. Rather than giving students all the answers, OWN coaches will be leveraging the use of technology, teamwork and OWN’s expert network of media professionals to learn in the 21st century manner.

In Easter 2018, OWN Media partnered with Cartoon Network and students were mentored by Cartoon Network’s producers and editors. Our students created the following for Cartoon Network’s Youtube page: Cartoon Network Music Video and Mother’s Day Mashup. Here is an article from SCMP Young Post

Students who join the OWN Media Production Team will be given the ability to produce entertaining, meaningful and high production quality content, to be shared and hosted on the OWN Media channel. They will also be eligible to join our exclusive experience with Cartoon Network in Singapore, working alongside a world-class media production team, supervised by expert network professionals.
