Since its discovery in the last century, DNA has been widely studied and experimented with resulting in astonishing potential in healthcare and various other industries. In this course, you’ll dive into the microscopic world of DNA and explore its various practical and real-life applications, as well as understand how the role of ethics plays a large part in the field of biotechnology.

Shakeel is a Hong Kong local with a passion for education and discovering new viruses. Having obtained his PhD from The University of Hong Kong in Medical Microbiology and Virology in 2017, Shakeel has since co-founded Nanopath Technologies Limited (Spidfier), which aims to combat fish fraud and promote seafood sustainability through rapid DNA analysis.
